Modality, Inc. announced that a Saunders Q & A application for the NCLEX-RN Exam is now available from the Apple App Store. The new iPhone and iPod touch application, developed through a partnership with medical publisher Elsevier and based on the bestselling Saunders flash card set, aids students in preparing for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses.

As a nursing coordinator I see nurses go through the process of studying for the NCLEX all of the time; what a valuable tool to have on your phone! Nurses are on the go more and more; to be able to study when they have breaks or while they are running around would help lower the stress of the NCLEX.
I personally use an iPhone and love it!

The idea is excellent and the reviews appear positive so far. The only prohibition is the price. $40 for a test prep software you may never use again? There are medical programs for free, such as the excellent Epocrates drug resource, that you will use every day, and others at $5 or $10 prices you will always find useful. I suppose they justify the price by comparison to the price of Kaplan or ATI review courses.
